In the frame of the project “European Union: common past, present and future for you” (EUcom4U), the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics and Human Rights is organizing the second international event “1957 – The Treaty of Rome and the beginning of the European Economic Community.” Send an email to info@unescobiochair.org to register to the event.

10,15 – 10,30: Presentation of the EUcom4U Project, EIC Bulgaria
10,30 – 11,00: Treaties of Rome 1957 – European common market, economic background, Human Rights, Values and Principles – Prof.ssa Valeria Maria Fazio
11,00 – 11,30: Coffee break – Networking
11,30 – 12,15:The perceptions of the Treaties of Rome in the partners’ countries (Bulgaria, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, Portugal) – 9 minutes’ presentations by the partners
12,15 – 13,00: Activity «past, present, future»
-Explanation of the Bioethics Global Art Area of Interest. Art as an universal language to promote common values and human rights.
-A «game» where participants have to associate each work of art to the temporal and thematic category that represents better past, present, future and EU principles explaining why.
13;00-13,15: Future events in the frame of the EUcom4U project (presentation of the upcoming events in Portugal and Potsdam)
13,15-13,30: Closing the first part of the event and delivering certificates
13,30 – 15,15: Lunch in the cafeteria
15,15 – 17,00: Guided visit to Palazzo dei Conservatori (Campidoglio) where the treaties were signed
